How the drawings work
- Every outline is drawn at the same scale from the manufacturer's published width, height and depth, so a camera that looks 10% wider is 10% wider.
- Interchangeable-lens bodies are measured without a lens. Fixed-lens compacts are measured with theirs, and the page says so when you compare one against the other.
- Outlines are simplified shapes (body, viewfinder hump, grip, lens mount), not product drawings. They show bulk, not styling.
- Two similar bodies are overlaid so the difference shows at a glance. When one is more than 25% taller or wider than the other they're drawn side by side instead, on a 20 mm grid.
- Weight is the manufacturer's published figure. Prices are the cheapest used asking price we found in the nightly check of dealers and marketplaces, leaving out poor-condition copies.
